Hey, I’m Rose! Your Friendly Neighborhood Home & Garden Writer

I’m Rose, and I’m kinda obsessed with all things landscaping and better building. My love for the garden and the great outdoors was nurtured as a toddler by my grandparents, who instilled in me a great respect for nature and sustainability. My extended family is in the contracting business, and so you can say landscaping and building are in my blood. But instead of swinging a hammer or pick full-time, I decided to put my writing skills to work and share my passion with the world.

What I Do:

I write about anything and everything related to homes and gardens. I’m the managing editor at Renovated Magazine, where I help shape the content and bring design, landscaping and better building techniques to life. You can catch my work on Apartment Therapy, Earth.org. Morning Ag Clips, Biofriendly Planet, Unsustainable and Meer.

Plus, I’ve contributed to a bunch of other cool sites like the American Society of Home Inspectors and USGBC.

What I’m Passionate About:

• Figuring out how to make gardens and homes look amazing (without breaking the bank!)
• Explaining complicated construction and landscaping stuff in a way that actually makes sense
• Finding the latest design and sustainability trends
• Writing articles that are both informative and interesting
• Making sure everything I write is accurate and well-researched

My Vibe:

I like to keep things real, relatable and actionable. I’m not afraid to admit when I mess up, and I’m always up for sharing my tips and tricks. I want to help you create homes, gardens and spaces that you love, whether you’re a seasoned professional or weekend DIYer.

When I’m Not Writing or Gardening:

You can usually find me baking triple chocolate brownies, snuggling with my six rescue cats, and reading or researching my latest projects. Alternatively, I am on the back of my noble thoroughbred mare, Rami and exploring nature. Oh, and I am also a great advocate of environmental rights!
